A new direction to take the campaign to Save Farscape to another level. It's time for this idea and the Scapers can lead the science fiction community into a new and brighter future.
Let's go for it!

I just posted this to the Dom's now-heavily-moderated Battlestar Galactica bboard. I don't know when or even if it will show up there, but I thought I'd cross-post it here:
I was a kid when the original series came out and I used to use my polaroid camera to get pictures of Starbuck and Apollo that my friends and I would drool over. We all dressed up as Colonial Warriors for Halloween. I loved this show and, in part, it made me the science fiction (I refuse to use the term "sci fi") geek that I am today.
Why oh why could they not have made the continuation? These changes I hear spoken of are gratuitous.
It amazes me how little TPTB listen to those to whom they are supposedly marketing their shows. I realize that some people are indeed pleased with the reimagining, and I am truly happy for them, but I hope they realize that Skiffy has a pretty long record of betraying their viewers' trust.
Look in particular at the Invisible Man and, more recently, my beloved Farscape.
Those of us who enjoy intelligent science fiction need to band together. We can be a force to be reckoned with. If you agree that Skiffy is no longer the home of good science fiction, but rather is catering to the lowest common denominator (no offense intended to any fans of the reimaging -- I have every intention of watching it and may even enjoy it if I think of it as something other than Battlestar Galactica), please visit http://www.wdsection.com/community/forumdisplay.php?s=&forumid=45, the web addy for the Science Fiction Alliance.
