No. Even without the war the media wouldn't have bothered anyway, they'd rather be reporting on how puppies are a terrible threat to us all and a menace to society.
We need to re-release the press release here in the States. It most definitly was lost in the shuffle.

More press! Someone posted this at Kansas today - its from the Sydney Daily Telegraph
http://www.dailytelegraph.news.com.au/confidential/
FARSCAPE update, #2349.6: Confidential understands that Brascape – the latest campaign in which female fans of the axed cult show are sending their intimate garments to Sci-Fi Channel head Bonnie Hammer – is progressing well. More than 200 bras have hit Ms Hammer's desk.

I was told by someone in the chat room that the packages were being "Returned to Sender".
????
Anyone received their bras back?
ps: i would think that the confirmation wouldn't prevent anyone from returning the packages.

LOL! Go Aunty!!!
With all her amazing achievements in the field, maybe we can get Twitch to try and give either SciFi or the various shelters we named a call to see what happened...
It's been over a week and with first-class I would have had mine back by now.
But yeah, terrible shame the press-release got lost in the war-reporting... well, I guess, we knew that would happen the moment word came that the first bombs had fallen. Given that it's now turning up in print, though, we might think about rereleasing it. Pitty we don't have any footage to send along, American TV being what it is couldn't possibly resist reporting on it if it has lots of bras in close-ups :D :D :D

I doubt that they would send them back, they would be risking embarassment since we requested that they donate the bras to shelters. BH and staff would have had no way of knowing that the U.S. media would be swamped with other stories (regarding the war). But if they do mail them back, you can bet a new press release will be put together announcing their lack of charity and basic human kindness. I'll write it myself if I have to.:finger:

Agree on the rerelease of the press release. I've got pictures of the posters that were made and all the orginial pictures that were sent in of people and/or their bras. It might help, at least in the print media. Let me know who to email/mail the pictures too and I will.

I've been away at a conference for 2 weeks and can't find any info on what happened. I posted a note asking for information but so far nothing. Did the whole brascape campaign fizzle out or if not what happened? I couldn't find the thread of the results or media coverage.

No media to speak of (the Iraq war had just started), but we know that well over 200 bras (a conservative estimate) landed on Ms. Hammer's desk and a good time was had by all :aok: :)
I believe someone is trying to confirm with the local women's shelters whether the bras were actually donated as requested.

Hell yeah for the Beeb!
Can I sell them my immortal soul in gratitude?
Or would that be overkill?
Should I just sell it to Viacom and have done with it?
Cariad,
