Not very many advertisers for the early hours it seems.
Note: Sci-Fi showed the episode credits without squashing them to show any ad.

I did not stay up that late nor did I get up that early; I taped "Kansas". I think we can safely ignor Hollywood's Hottest.
I have radical idea. Why don't we point out to some of Farscape's midnight sponsors what a bargain they can get reaching the same demographic audience if they start advertising during this 5 am Saturday showing? See if we can move some of them to advertise at that hour. REALLY REALLY give Skiffy something to think about if we could get an Acura or a Kraft to start asking to advertise at that hour.
Whatcha think? Should we give it a try?
;)
I think the ad time is sold very far ahead. Also, I don't think many people are really watching at 5 in the morning--is it really a bargain if it doesn't reach anyone they want to reach? They won't be reaching the same demographic audience at 5 am, so that is not an argument you would want to use. Even I was asleep!

They reach our machines if not us, and we pay attention to the ads on Farscape. What is unlikely is that the advertisers on "Kansas" Saturday morning were asking for Farscape. They were probably of the "pay this amount" group that gets placed by Skiffy when and where there is space open. A request for Farscape time would probably bounce these ads to another part of the schedule. I guess we could always ask Skiffy if ad time can be bought for the 5 am showings of Farscape. And we could put out a request that Scapers with recording technology record these 5 am showings, if they aren't already, and to be sure to record all the ads too.
I wouldn't try to say that they could reach the same number as at midnight, just the same demographic type.

blue: Surprisingly, I woke up and watched most of the episode.
By the way, if you tape the 5AM episodes, the credits are left untouched. Yipee! :)

You'd think this would be easy since there are so few, but NO-O-O-O-O. Time-Life is part of Time Inc. which is part of AOL Time Warner, and I haven't been able to find their marketing person yet. We may have to got directly to the top, ie. CEO of Time Inc.

I suggest we drop...

LifeAlert (has a 1-800 # for information)
Both of them because they are small companies that are only advertising one product.

Which department should we contact: Media Relations, Sales, or Business Sales?
I wasn't able to find a website for Sleep Comfort, so we might just have to drop them. They probably don't have corporate presence anyway.

Stargate2077, the Time-Life addresses you listed are for the distribution points for the dvds and tapes, I think. Anyway, Time-Life is one of the companies that is run by Time Inc., so I think Time Inc. is the company we need to contact.
When I was looking up stuff for Life Alert, I read some posted consumer complaints. We probably want to avoid these people for the time being, like the Smoke Away people. There just isn't anything about these companies or their corporate officials posted on their web sites.
I picked John Squires as the EVP to contact for Time-Life because he has been doing consumer marketing and branding for Time Inc. for many years, so he is probably still in that part of the business.
Earthlink's web site was so nice and accomodating, just like Select Comfort's. They both post their addresses and corporate officers names and titles.
In case you hadn't noticed, I posted the same list in my post above. There are only 5 advertisers for this showing.
