The Sci Fi Guys and www.dtrn.co.uk are proud to announce in association with A&E, the chance for listeners to win a copy of Farscape: The Definitive Collection (Now available to own on DVD at all good retailers RRP £99.99).

This fantastic set is a fans dream and contains not only all 88 episodes of the hit series but over 15 hours of bonus material and the complete PeaceKeeper Wars mini-series. The 32 disc set gives fans the complete saga of astronaut John Crichton, a man who is flung through a wormhole and into a distant galaxy whilst testing a prototype spacecraft. Rescued by Moya, a living ship that is crewed by a group of on the run alien prisoners, Crichton must survive being hunted by the militaristic force known as the Peacekeepers, if he is ever to find a way back home.

Featuring mind-blowing sci-fi action, superb storytelling, great special effects and character designs by The Jim Henson Company, Farscape has stood the test of time as a landmark science fiction series. Prepare for the adventure of a lifetime with Moya’s crew – likeable hero John Crichton; renegade Peacekeeper AerynSun; short-tempered warrior Ka D'Argo; psychic priestess Zhaan; mercurial thief Chiana and deposed monarch Dominar Rygel XVI.

To win this set all listeners have to do is email stuart@dtrn.co.uk , how given the chance, they would re-invent the series for a modern audience. Entries will accepted up until Wednesday 1st December 2010 and the lucky winner will be announced as part of the upcoming 100th episode of The Sci Fi Guys.

re-invent?

Is there something wrong with the series as-is?

No, there's nothing wrong with the series as it is. However that doesn't mean they can't go back, look at it, and think what could they do differently if they ever wanted to do it all over again later on.

Re-invent? I don't think so... maybe jazz up some of the CGI.

I want to know what happens NEXT!

There was one thing I found jarring with the series, inconsistent make-up. Sikozu went from having very light blue/green scaling on her face to extremely noticeable garish red scaling

Jool was another character who went through a make-up transformation. She looked better in season three than she did in season four.
In season three it was established that her hair only went bright red when she was upset, angry or in a state of excitement. In season four her hair obviously become broken as it was bright red all the time and she was never again seen with the lovely copper hair she had in season three. Also, again she developed garish red make-up, this time around her eyes as opposed to most of her face like Sikozu
