the Psi Corps were the ones who originally made dust. They did it to make normals into telepaths.

dust is an illegal drug

NQ: how many of the shadow maniuplated telepaths were used to attack the destroyer fleet? how many were left on babylon five?

Col. Kathryn O'Neill

ShawnaTums
08-08-2003, 11:11 PM

Selena
09-22-2003, 05:05 PM
Okay ... it's either that or the thread goes into tormented space.

NQ: Who or what were the Homeguard?

NYPinTA
09-23-2003, 06:16 AM
Homeguard was a bunch of xenophobes that wanted to rid Earth of any "Alien" influence. The first mention of them was when Susans ex came to the station and wanted her to join.
Right? :eh:

It something to do with mythology.

stellar
10-22-2003, 12:25 PM
Is it "Obsedian"... I can pop in the DVD when I get home I know it's on Ceremonies of Light and Dark... I know Garibaldi's is "Peakaboo". And the AI voice is Harlan Ellison.

Selena
10-22-2003, 12:29 PM
No, it isn't Stellar, sorry.

stellar
10-22-2003, 01:57 PM
Griffin!... I cheated a little bit.

How many characters long is the Shadow's actual name?

NYPinTA
10-22-2003, 02:03 PM
Ten thousand characters long.

Right?

If so: What musical instrument was Sinclair supposed to be able to play?

Selena
10-22-2003, 02:08 PM
AAArrrrgggghhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh :fear: my web site was playing up and by the time I got back ... :bawl:

A recorder is is a bit like a flute only it's not silver and you hold it in front of you and not to the side. Just about every kid that went to parochial school would have had a lesson or two on the recorder.

NYPinTA
10-22-2003, 02:58 PM
Ohhh! I had one of those. Drove my mother nuts!!

But... it is a wind instrument.... hint hint.

Can you really see the Commander of a Space Station that kicks a lot of ass playing the piccolo? (Oh wait, didn't Picard play the Piccolo?!?) :rollin:

Should I tell?

Edit: ok, maybe he only kicked a little ass... now that I think of it. But he floored Neroon, and that is nothing to sneeze at.

Selena

 No I couldn't see Jeffrey playing the piccolo but then I can't see him playing any instrument at all .. he was too introverted. I never heard him humming a tune or whistling or anything ... not like John and Michael.

NYPinTA
10-23-2003, 10:21 AM
Yep. And yeah, he was kinda introverted wasn't he?

Next question?

Selena
10-23-2003, 10:27 AM

NYPinTA

Selena

stellar
12-01-2003, 09:24 AM
Gonna need a ruling on these answers NYP.

NYPinTA
12-01-2003, 09:27 AM
Well, it is poetry. Whether or not they drink tea while listening to it, I have no idea....
Next Question Stellar.

Selena

NQ: What is THE mistake at the end of Comes The Inquisitor?

NYPinTA
12-01-2003, 09:33 AM
Could you be more specific? A mistake in the story or a mistake one of the characters make?

stellar
12-01-2003, 09:36 AM
JMS mistake.

NYPinTA
12-01-2003, 09:37 AM
Edit: No wait. It was the location of the murders Jack the ripper commited. They were in East End of London, not the West.

stellar
12-01-2003, 09:38 AM
Nope.

NYPinTA
12-01-2003, 09:42 AM
I edited my answer. Is it still wrong?

stellar
12-01-2003, 10:02 AM
That is correct!!!

Would you like the bumper-billiard table, or the ceramic dalmation?

That's the old Wheel of Furtune, in case you're too young to remember.

NYPinTA
12-01-2003, 10:09 AM
Ohhhh! Can I have the dalmation?! Please!!

NYPinTA
12-01-2003, 10:11 AM
NQ: Who are the Children of Time?

stellar
12-01-2003, 10:15 AM
Is it Zathras's people?

NYPinTA
12-01-2003, 10:21 AM
No. Good quess though.
What is the plural for Zathras anyhow? Zathri? Zathrese? Hmmm

stellar
12-01-2003, 10:26 AM
Zathrae.

Selena
12-01-2003, 10:34 AM
The Children of Time were members of a religious egg-born race who also called themselves The Chosen and Born of the Egg.

I believe that there is only ever one Zathras at a time so there is no plural.

NYPinTA
12-01-2003, 10:37 AM
Selena wins the dalmation! :D Next question.

Selena
12-01-2003, 10:39 AM
Dalmation!!! :fear:
I thought I was going to get an action figure Delenn doll :pace:

NQ: What happened to Delenn's mother?

NYPinTA
12-01-2003, 10:48 AM
She joined a cult. Ok, not a cult. She left to devote herself to some religious thing when Delenn was a small child.

stellar
12-01-2003, 10:55 AM
Is that from one of the books or the show? Are we just doing the show, sans Crusade?

Selena
12-01-2003, 12:23 PM
It's from the show ... Delenn tells us what happened to her. NYPinTA you're sort of on the right track.

NYPinTA
12-01-2003, 12:26 PM
It's on the tip of my brain.... ARGG!

NYPinTA
12-01-2003, 03:09 PM
Ah ha! Delenn's mother entered the Sisters of Valeria.
Right?

Selena
12-03-2003, 08:48 AM

NYPinTA

He gets stabbed.

NQ: What is the name of Lennier's family line?

NYPinTA
12-16-2003, 01:11 PM
fermicat is correct! Next question please.

fermicat
12-16-2003, 01:26 PM
What was embroidered on the back of the teddy bear from "There All The Honor Lies"?

NYPinTA
12-16-2003, 01:32 PM
Wasn't it a big 5?

fermicat
12-16-2003, 01:34 PM
Well technically yes, that was on his shirt, but there was something stitched on the bear itself (that wasn't visible on TV - you'd have to have read some JMS commentary or fan chatter to find out, but it is worth it).

stellar
12-16-2003, 01:45 PM
JS? - John Sheridan?

fermicat
12-16-2003, 01:50 PM
Your very warm..... "JS" was embroidered on the front of the bear. What was on the back (besides the number 5)?

stellar
12-16-2003, 01:51 PM
B?

fermicat
12-16-2003, 01:53 PM

stellar
12-16-2003, 01:55 PM

fermicat
12-16-2003, 01:55 PM
Yup. And it's cutesy.

NYPinTA
12-16-2003, 01:56 PM
What? B stars with B. :lol
It couldn't have spelt out Babylon 5 could it. That was one tiny bear. Bear 5?

fermicat
12-16-2003, 01:57 PM
Getting warmer......

fermicat
12-16-2003, 01:58 PM
cough ........ check lurker's guide ....... cough

stellar
12-16-2003, 02:01 PM

NYPinTA

Ba-bear-lon 5

fermicat
12-16-2003, 02:03 PM
Ding ding ding ding ding! NYPinTA has the correct answer! [I told you it was cutesy...]

NYPinTA
12-16-2003, 02:05 PM

Uh, Dr. Hobbs herself never had problems using stims. Franklin's using impacted her, but she didn't use herself. So, that would be a wrong answer.

In my defense, you didn't say "addiction", just an issue.. and if you look at it from a different perspective, ( a really skewed one ;) ), she did have issues with stims... she had an issue with Dr. Franklin taking them.
Ok. I know. That was kinda lame. Had to try though. :D

Edit: ... could it be: Doctor Everett Jacobs? He wasn't addicted, but had to keep using them so he wouldn't fall asleep because he was hiding and had to keep moving.

If I am right, my next question is: How old is Zatharas? (The one we all know and love, not his brothers. ;) )

:roflmao: I like the first option. I also felt that something very nasty and painful should have happened to Lockley. :pissed:

I am definitely conflicted ... of all the seasons, 5 was my least favorite. It was such a letdown, but JMS explained it by saying that that is exactly how people feel after a confict is over ... it's a lul and nothing feels the same anymore and everyone feels utterly lost and out of sorts. That certainly described my feelings about season 5.
Yet, in the scheme of things, it was still B-5 and JMS telling the story, but it was such a pain that TNT frelled with the saga at the end of season 4. One can only wonder what might have been, if TNT had funded it up front and allowed the JMS genius to go at it unimpeded without the threat of cancelation hanging over the entire production.

Let us pause for a moment to remember Richard Biggs who died very suddenly on Saturday ...

Richard, you came into our lives for just a while,
The roles you played they often made us smile.
Your charm and acting they entwined,
To leave an enduring mark within our mind.
But all too soon you’ve been taken away,
So in our heart there is a place this day.
A place that fills with tender thoughts and care,
Of angels wings, to God your soul to bear.

Richard Biggs, who portrayed Marcus Hunter on "Days of Our Lives" from 1987-1992, passed away suddenly of a stroke on Saturday, May 22, 2004. He was 43.

Biggs was born on March 18, 1961 in Columbus, Ohio. He was raised on Air Force bases across America. He graduated from the University of Southern California's School of Theater, having studied under the esteemed actor John Houseman.

Richard's first career choice was to be a doctor. After appearing in a production of "The Wiz" at the age of 17, his passion turned towards acting. Ironically, as an actor, he ended up playing doctors in most of his roles. Biggs made his acting debut on the May 4, 1985 episode of "T.J. Hooker." He later guest starred in episodes of "The Twilight Zone" and the TV movie "A Fighting Choice" before landing the contract role of Dr. Marcus Hunter on "Days" in November, 1987.

Biggs debuted on "Days" on November 30, 1987, arriving in Salem as one of Patch Johnson's childhood friends. The show went on location to South Carolina to film a storyline dealing with what illegal dealings Marcus had seen while growing up there. His character became a friend to all in Salem as he worked as a doctor at University Hospital. His last appearance came on December 14, 1992, with no fanfare as Marcus was never to be seen again. As a final goodbye to his stay in Salem, Biggs won a Soap Opera Digest award for best supporting actor a few months later in 1993.

After leaving "Days" in 1992, Biggs went on to star in the science fiction series "Babylon 5", as another doctor, Stephen Franklin, for four years from 1994-1998, including three reunion movies. He then went on to the Lifetime drama series "Any Day Now" from 1998-1999. Biggs moved to New York and he returned to daytime television from 2001-2003 as Clayton Boudreaux on "Guiding Light." His final series role was as Roger Garrett on the short-lived series "Tremors" in 2003. Biggs also made guest appearances on "Falcon Crest", "The Garry Shandling Show", "Diagnosis:Murder", "Beverly Hills, 90210", "V.I.P.", "Touched by an Angel", "Strong Medicine", "JAG", "CSI", "NYPD Blue" and "ER." His final screen appearance was, fittingly, as a doctor, on "Crossing Jordan" on April 25, 2004.
