grinner
01-08-2004, 08:02 PM
I have played Myst. But it was YEARS ago. But I haven't played a MUD(Multi-User-Dungeon) since college. And that is what those games are.

who45
01-08-2004, 08:03 PM
I've never played.

grinner
01-08-2004, 08:05 PM
I used to play EverQuest and Ultima Online... and MechWarrior Online... but they became too expensive.

Do you guys think that The Seal of Rassilon would make a good tattoo?

How did the Doctor demostrate his sonic screwdriver to one of the participants in "The War Games"?

grinner
01-09-2004, 04:57 AM
Seeing how both of us don't grok tattoo's... we probably wouldn't be the best to ask. However... it is a cool design.

He takes the screw out of a gun.

When the Doctor leaves Sarah on Earth, why was he called back to Gallifrey?

grinner
01-09-2004, 02:48 PM
Isn't it because the President is resigning and he needs to prevent an assassination?

who45
01-09-2004, 03:41 PM
Should've known you'd get that one.:D

grinner
01-09-2004, 03:51 PM

After the White Guardian tells the Doctor that he must find the segments of the Ket to Time, what or who does the Doctor find is in his TARDIS?

grinner
01-09-2004, 07:57 PM
Romana? Or the scanner? Or a hole in the consol?

who45
01-09-2004, 08:06 PM
Romana

grinner
01-09-2004, 08:10 PM
what did the Doctor say when he noticed the hole?

who45
01-09-2004, 08:35 PM
I think he says sorry to the TARDIS...or something like that.

grinner
01-09-2004, 08:37 PM

who45

fireplace was right

grinner
01-09-2004, 08:58 PM
cool... I was going to start listing the different things that I knew his TARDIS had been...

Where was the Doctor condemned as the Evil One... and why?

who45
01-09-2004, 09:12 PM
It was on Leela's planet wasn't it...it had to do with Xoanon?

grinner
01-09-2004, 09:14 PM
yep... but why did the people think that the Doctor was the Evil One?

who45
01-09-2004, 09:17 PM
Because his face was carved on the mountain side.

grinner
01-09-2004, 09:18 PM
yep...

who45
01-09-2004, 09:22 PM
What did the Doctor mean when he told Davros "I have betrayed the future."

grinner
01-09-2004, 09:27 PM
was this AFTER he changed the future in Genesis of the Daleks or in Destiny of the Daleks when he is talking to Davros after Davros is woken.

who45
01-09-2004, 09:32 PM
It was in Genesis of the Daleks...it was something that Davros made him do...

grinner
01-09-2004, 09:37 PM
was that when Davros made the Doctor tell him all the Defeats that the Daleks were involved in?

who45
01-09-2004, 09:39 PM
Yes.

grinner
01-09-2004, 09:42 PM
you really led me to that one...:lol

What did the Master want to use the Axonite for... and why was Jo worried about the use the Doctor could have used it for?

grinner
01-09-2004, 10:05 PM
need a hint?

who45
01-09-2004, 10:15 PM
Did the Master want to use it to drain the Earth's energy?

grinner
01-09-2004, 10:16 PM
yep... and Jo's fears?

who45
01-09-2004, 10:19 PM
think...it leave Earth? I'm not sure...I think I better go read it..

grinner
01-09-2004, 10:21 PM
yeah... she feared that by using the Axonite, he would be able to fix the TARDIS and leave her behind.

who45
01-09-2004, 10:24 PM
What happened to Jamie when he was returned to his own time?

grinner
01-09-2004, 10:25 PM
I think he is attacked... and doesn't remember any of his adventures with the Doctor?

who45
01-09-2004, 10:28 PM
You are right. He was attacked by an English Soldier.

Well, I better get some sleep before I go face down on the key board.

grinner
01-09-2004, 10:30 PM

that is weird... I wonder.

grinner
01-12-2004, 04:16 PM
wow... it is my turn to ask a question... my bad...

Why is Bruce and Benik concerned if Salamander is in the Central European Zone or not? What caused them to worry?

who45
01-12-2004, 05:56 PM
I think it was because they were concerned for his safety?

grinner
01-12-2004, 06:03 PM
No... there is a specific reason. Salamander is supposed to be somewhere else... but something happens that confuses them.

who45
01-12-2004, 06:25 PM
He wasn't at the conference he was supposed to be at...and he wasn't acting right...Can you tell I'm reaching here, lol.

grinner
01-12-2004, 06:32 PM
Who looks like Salamander?

http://www.drwhoguide.com/who_2p.htm
halfway thru episode 2.

who45
01-12-2004, 06:44 PM
The Doctor..

grinner
01-12-2004, 06:52 PM
yep. :D And why were they worried/concerned?

who45
01-12-2004, 06:56 PM
Because he wasn't acting like himelf because it wasn't him...Just tell me the answer, lol.

grinner
01-12-2004, 06:57 PM
It was because Bruce had just talked to the Doctor who was pretending to be Salamander.... when Salamander was supposed to be somewhere else. The worried that Kent had kidnapped Salamander.

Sorry. I have trouble producing them quickly.

In the series "The Dæmons", the scene where the helicopter crashes in flames is taken from a popular film. Name the film.

From Russia With Love

Who was it that Dodo was excited to meet... and who also told Steven that he knew he wasn't a gunman.

who45

Wyatt Earp?

grinner
01-13-2004, 06:13 PM

who45
01-13-2004, 06:18 PM
What happened when Turlough tears some of the the space-time elements out of the TARDIS console?

grinner
01-13-2004, 06:19 PM
Oh my... I know this one...

shoot...

who45
01-13-2004, 06:27 PM
Take your time..:D Need a hint?

grinner
01-13-2004, 06:31 PM
oh... what episode is it... harumph.

who45
01-13-2004, 06:32 PM
Terminus

grinner
01-13-2004, 06:39 PM
is it that the TARDIS started to disintegrate?

who45
01-13-2004, 06:42 PM
yes, then what happened...

grinner
01-13-2004, 06:47 PM
I think it has something to do with Nyssa. Does her room disappear taking her with it? Terminus is her last episode... I think that is how she ended up on the station with the sick people.

who45
01-13-2004, 06:52 PM
Yes, when the TARDIS started to disintegrate, it activated a fail safe sysytem where the TARDIS attached it's self to the nearest ship...Terminus. But you got most of what I was looking for, so you're up.

grinner
01-13-2004, 07:03 PM
:woohoo: that was a total guess cause once you said Terminus, I remembered that was Nyssa's last episode. Yeah me!!!!

What was the reason that the Doctor had to die before the Election of a New President?

who45
01-13-2004, 07:15 PM
Did it have to do with his trial...that he interfered?

grinner
01-13-2004, 07:24 PM
nope... the 4th Doctor.

who45
01-13-2004, 07:35 PM
Because he took over as President for a time?

grinner
01-13-2004, 07:39 PM
argh... yep. shoot... :D

who45
01-13-2004, 07:54 PM
When you said the 4th...I should have known that.

When the Doctor and Peri land on a space station in the Third Zone who do they later meet that he's known before?

grinner
01-13-2004, 07:56 PM
isn't this the Two Doctors episode? Himself? Jamie?

who45
01-13-2004, 08:21 PM
Yes...some how knew you'd get that right off.

grinner
01-13-2004, 08:37 PM
was it Jamie that you were asking for?

What does Linx and the Doctor argue about? 2 main points in the argument.

who45
01-13-2004, 09:07 PM
Yep, Jamie.

Oh, good question.....I think it's about the view that Time Lords have compared to the Sontarans?

grinner
01-13-2004, 09:17 PM
yes, the differences between the Time Lords and the Sontarans...

but there was something else that Linx said that the Doctor didn't like.

Vikes4ever
01-13-2004, 09:31 PM
Is it something about humans simply being fodder to be exploited in the Sontaran/Rutan war?

grinner
01-13-2004, 09:46 PM
argh... righto.:aok:

Vikes4ever
01-13-2004, 11:40 PM

grinner
01-14-2004, 07:04 AM

grinner
01-14-2004, 01:21 PM

nope... it is a MUCH bigger number than that. it is 5733. And it is always the present whenever you visit Gallifrey because the Black Hole won't allow itself to exist at two different times.

who45

yes but she also created something else and what happened to her?

grinner

This is a guess. A stethoscope.

HINT: transformation

Jason Connery was in Terror of the Vervoids. And he is the son of Sean Connery.

He was also in Robin of Sherwood which was shown on Showtime in the 80's... which was a kick ass show.

who45
01-14-2004, 07:20 PM
Robin of Sherwood :aok:

grinner
01-14-2004, 07:24 PM

Well, I went to a small Private school... so it was that you couldn't help but know everyone. I think the so-called bad crowd(which I was a member of... because of my hair) wasn't that bad at all. I was cool with anyone though... even though I was never really in any 'Group'

grinner
01-15-2004, 03:50 PM
he is the one that created K-9 right? Didn't he clone them and then miniturize them in order to inject them into the Doctor? Or is that a different episode.

01-15-2004, 05:12 PM
He stopped the Master's plan of getting control of the Doomsday Device in "Colony in Space". He thought he'd escaped Earth on his own, but in fact the Timelords influenced his trip to the colony world, so he would involve himself, like usual. Then, they gave him back all of the knowledge of time-travel that they had taken away.

grinner
01-15-2004, 05:54 PM
Nope

who45
01-15-2004, 06:21 PM
Good question.

grinner
01-15-2004, 06:24 PM
need a hint?

Vikes4ever
01-15-2004, 06:29 PM
Damnit. How could I have forgotten. He helped the Timelords and their battle with Omega's anti-matter universe in "The Three Doctors". He received his knowledge of time-travel and a new de-materialization circuit.

grinner
01-15-2004, 06:37 PM
yes and nope and yes. He did get the de-materialization circuit back... but he didn't get his knowledge back until Colony in Space

Vikes4ever
01-15-2004, 06:45 PM
But, at the end of "The Three Doctors", he says that they've given him all of his knowledge of time-travel and the dematerialization codes back.

grinner
01-15-2004, 06:49 PM
hmm... according to the BBC bible... the Doctor did not get full control of the TARDIS until Colony in Space. Hmm... I know what this means... They wouldn't use him like they have been... D'oh.

Vikes4ever
01-15-2004, 06:52 PM
You mean that the Timelords wouldn't use him like they have been? Though I do remember that the Timelords had some influence in his traveling to the Colony.

Vikes4ever
01-15-2004, 07:00 PM
I think I just figured out our confusion. "The Three Doctors" 1972 aired after "Colony in Space" 1971. So, the Timelords did have a role in the Doctor going to the colony and it wasn't until Three Doctors that they forgave him. I was going loopy for a while there.

What was the name of Vicki's pet?

grinner
01-15-2004, 07:10 PM
This is the pet that Barbara accidentally kills right?

Vikes4ever
01-15-2004, 08:38 PM
Si, seņor.

grinner
01-15-2004, 08:43 PM
Sandy or Mandy or something with an andy in the name. I will either have to look it up on the 'net or re-read the book.

Vikes4ever
01-16-2004, 12:18 AM
It was indeed "Sandy". You are correct, sir!

grinner
01-16-2004, 05:09 AM
Why did the Dalek's have to resort to Machine Guns in an episode?

who45
01-16-2004, 04:25 PM
They were on the planet Exxilon and nothing with power worked.

grinner
01-16-2004, 04:26 PM
Argh... I should have known you would get that... :ewink::hi:

who45
01-16-2004, 04:38 PM
:hi: I wont say anything because I'll probably get stumped before the night is over, lol.

Who or what was The Oracle?

grinner
01-16-2004, 04:40 PM
I think she was in the Matrix... er... nah don't go there Phil... hmm...

I think it was a computer. Or something that held genetic information... if you need more I will have to search some sites.

who45
01-16-2004, 04:49 PM
matrix...lol..

Yes, that's good enough....The Oracle was a computer of the legendary lost ship P7E which carried the Minyan Race Banks. The P7E drifted to the edge of the universe, where enough space matter accumulated around it that it became the center of an underground world known as Underworld.

grinner
01-16-2004, 04:57 PM
ah... that's right... the Minyans. I should have remembered that.

What was it that the Doctor charged The Meddling Monk with that was also charged against him? And what were both of their defenses against the charges? 2 episodes

who45
01-17-2004, 06:21 PM
I think it was interfering with time...I think it had something to do with the Daleks...I'll have to read up on this one.

grinner
01-17-2004, 06:28 PM
yep it was with interfering with time. What were the two Timelords defenses.

The Doctor made a claim against the Meddling Monk and the TimeLords made the same accusation against the Doctor.

who45
01-17-2004, 06:38 PM
Well, I know the Monk wanted to bring peace to Europe by changing history so..and the Doctor interfers with time to help others...not sure about this one.

grinner
01-17-2004, 06:44 PM
You got the majority of the answer.

The Meddling Monks reason is that meddling is so much fun, while the Doctor's defense was that HE was making things BETTER. Something that the TimeLords should do since they have the power.

who45
01-17-2004, 06:51 PM
The Keeper of the Matrix was taken over by who?

grinner
01-17-2004, 06:53 PM

grinner
01-17-2004, 07:03 PM
It isn't the Master... or the Valeyard. If it isn't one of those two... I will have to look it up.

Vikes4ever
01-17-2004, 07:12 PM
I believe it is the Valeyard. If it's right, then Grinner said it first, so he should ask the next one.

grinner
01-17-2004, 07:17 PM
If I am right about the Valeyard... Who is it that Sarah tells to 'Get lost' when told she is a 'mere girl'

who45
01-17-2004, 08:27 PM
I want to say Thalira

grinner
01-17-2004, 08:36 PM

who45
01-17-2004, 08:42 PM
Well...and here I thought it might be from the quote in my sig.lol.

Linx? If not I better go read it.

grinner
01-17-2004, 08:45 PM
Not Lynx... but you are on the right track... it is someone that is working with Lynx

who45
01-17-2004, 08:49 PM

grinner
01-17-2004, 09:07 PM

who45

grinner
01-18-2004, 02:00 PM
Okay, this was from an Third Doctor episode involving the Master. hmm??? I think, if I remember correctly, it was supposed to take away evil thoughts from men... but I think it was a mind virus or something.

PIPE PEOPLE Original inhabitants of Terra Alpha driven underground by the human settlers. Their real name was the Alpidae, but they had been nicknamed Pipe People because they had been relegated to living inside the colony's network of pipes. They were slowly dying of starvation. A tribe led by Wulfric and Wences helped the Seventh Doctor and Ace overthrow Helen A's tyrannical regime

who45
01-19-2004, 06:19 PM
Mmmmm...very good question...When the building collapsed it kept anyone else from getting to him...I think his life support system took over...he went into some kind of preservation to keep from deteriorating.

grinner
01-19-2004, 06:22 PM
yes, but what exactly did the life support system do to him?

who45
01-19-2004, 06:33 PM
preserved him...kept him alive.

grinner
01-19-2004, 06:43 PM
He tells the Doctor that he survived because 'There was damage to my primary life-support system, the secondary and backup circuits switched in immediately. Sythetic tissue regeneration took place whilst bodily organs were held in long term suspension'

you got the gist of it though... you are up.:D

After the Daleks question Romana what did they decide to do with her?

grinner
01-19-2004, 06:54 PM
Kill her? Put her into one of the bomb casings so that the Doctor wouldn't work for the Movellons... or is it the Movellons that put her into the case... hmm... let me think...

who45
01-19-2004, 07:05 PM
No, something happened before they could do that.. they made her do something...
