I don't live in the UK, but you might want to try to find the Farscape magazine or some other SF magazine, because they're always listed for sale in those.

your lucky your in the UK whatever company it is that releases the Farscape dvds is really quite quick , you should have no problem getting them ordered in at almost any store
we are so screwed in north america, the dvd box sets are two seasons behind or something like that

It should still be available but you might have to ask the store to special order it for you. If you want, you could order it on-line. Blackstar.com has it available: http://www.blackstar.co.uk/video/item/7000000073374

www.amazon.co.uk
You can get the whole of Season 1 in a nice box set ( I know I bought it and it is fabulous) for £81.99 (new). Just checked, it is still available. It is delivered within a few days too, although you will have to take into account that Monday is a bank holiday. You could have it by next weekend.

I hvae the region2 boxset of farcape season 1 and have been really enjoying it but for some reason i cant find any of the audio comentaries that are talked about on the box. I know there are not commentaries for all of the episodes but i cant seem to get any of them to work. Any help even if it is only to show me the blindingly obvious would be much appreciated.

Gosh, if you're talking about the US Boxed Set of Season 1 DVDs, the following episodes have commentaries:
Premiere
I, E.T.
Exodus From Genesis
Throne For A Loss
Back and Back and Back To the Future
Thank God It's Friday Again
You should be able to access these tracks by going to the "special features" menu. (Sometimes these tracks are available in the "setup" menu, but I think ADV put these in the "special features" .)
I can't say for sure, but I don't think the British DVDs have any commentary tracks. (Perhaps there are special collectors' sets that do, though.)

Yeah the British DVD's have commentaries for
Premiere
I, E.T.
Exodus From Genesis
Throne For A Loss
Back and Back and Back To the Future
Thank God It's Friday Again
Bone to be Wild
Family Ties
On my DVD's when you select the episode it said: Commentary on: Yes or No.

I was looking over my Season 1 Box Set today - the one that I've had for about a year - and I was watching 'A Human Reaction', and I noticed little inserts that I'd never seen before on the copies of the same episode that I owned previously on 1) videotape, and; 2) The Best of Season One DVD set.
There were little inserts like Jack tossing his wings into the water at the beach; a CGI shot of a helicopter landing on top of Command-Central shortly afterward; added 'memory-montage' when Jack was explaining the test to John; and, poignantly, Jack returning the good-luck charm to John at the end of the episode.
Granted, many of these shots are short - 2-5 second additions in most cases, but I'm wondering if anyone else noticed any of these inserts in any other episodes or in any other of the boxed sets?

Since I never saw the original broadcasts, the little "inserts" that you describe didn't seem so odd to me. That's all probably part of the stuff that was cut to reduce the BBC version down to the time length needed for American TeeVee. Only the episodes for season 1 had these "extra" two or three minutes. Beginning with season 2 both sides of the pond had the same length of episodes. (In fact, in subsequent seasons' episodes, the BBC edited a lot of bits that were deemed too bloody or "adult".)

Kult-TV is the UK distributor of Farscape and they have a mail order (http://www.contendergroup.com/KULT-TV/FARSCAPE/) section on their web site.
I have not used them yet myself, but they have got to be quicker than Amazon, whose claim of 2-3 day delivery has stretched so far to two weeks!
If anyone does used this method I would be interested to hear your experiences as we are hoping to deal direct for the UK:Library Project (http://www.savefarscape.com/forums/showthread.php?threadid=18632)
Good luck Lordslime

The odd thing is that I don't recall seeing these inserts on prior iterations of these same episodes on ADV product - namely the VHS tapes that they issued round about 1999, nor the 'Best of Season One' set that they issued during the middle of last year.
(Yes, I'm on my third generation of Farscape video...)
