Nice job on the Commando costume. Saw it earlier today while lurking about the Farscape Prop Forum. (I really should register and post but eh...) Love that forum, by the way.

Kylash-
I honestly do not remember how I came across the site. I think it was when somebody mentioned the address on one of the message boards while I was hunting around for costuming info, ideas, tips, suggestions and stuff like that to help out a friend of mine who's working on some PK costumes and props. |

Doggone, that's a great costume! Makes me want to try my hand at it (with all that free time I have...not!).

I think this is where those of us who have been trying hard to make our costumes, tell you we're seething with envy and want you to spill the beans on every intimate little detail about how the costume was made.

hehehe, thanks everyone, im glad you think its good ^_^ It took about a year to slowly gather everything and lots of trial and error. Truth be told, I got alot of help after making the prop forum, the input from people there was amazing, as well as finding a source for a few pieces, and a small run of PK Ident chips like the one you see there by our own GreatBizzaro.
The jacket was the last part made, by my friend Erin. Our pictures are now on Karlsweb right now as well, describing how the jackets were made, since I dont know much about sewing, I suggest reading Erin's description on Karlsweb. I mostly did the hardware. The ammo belt was bought from an online army surplus store, as well as the belt pouch and clips for the jacket. The holster is made from sheet craft foam and leather< not entirely accurate to season 1, but i will be making the vacuformed piece soon. The gauntlets are just shin guards altered a bit, the headset is a headset from radio shack. I originally had made a prowler headset with the mouth piece and lighting up leds, but it started coming apart and i got frustrated with the electromnics, then lost it. I cant think of anythign else right now, if youve got any specific questions, let me know. |

Did you make the pulse pistols yourself? Again, it's a gorgeous costume. Erin is to be commended.

Good work! I noticed your datachip. Did you fabricate it yourself? I'm sure you didn't buy it from STP. I'm making one too, using the pics from STP. I'm sure they'll be annoyed if they find out. I'm using acrylic, vinyl and craft paint.
