Wheee! I was poking around here, about to post about our little board when I saw that Kylash had already done it. Serves me right for not hanging around much these days.

I hope everyone at least stops by to have a look...I know many folks probably aren't as "prop-oriented" as some of the rest of us are, but if you're looking for tips or ideas on how to make (or possibly procure, depending on who has what available) accessories for your Farscape costume, we'd like to think we have one of the best brain trusts on the 'net for such things.

Here's a quick shot of my latest acquisition:

I think everyone should have their own neural spike. Excellent for taking control of pesky relatives, neighbors or co-workers.

Props, Props everywhere but not a uniform to where. At this point in time I feel like the emperor and his new clothing so my question to some one who can do this is put up a list of sites or a list of people at this site who are willing to make Pk Uniforms (Pulse pistols, Idit chips, Etc) For those of us who would like to purchuse them (ie materials , labor, shipping, etc). I as the expression goes am "creatively challenged" but I am not, how should I put it, a man of simple means. If you have the time and resources to do *A GOOD JOB* I will pay for the product.

Kylash327, it's good to see another dewback member here! I usually lurk and post on the TOS phaser and Communicator forum there, posted one on the FS/B5 about FS electronics. LOVE LOVE LOVE the PK uniform my friend. I know you stated on another thread that you created your PK PP holster yourself EXCELLENT JOB. are there any plans for making and selling them in a limited run in the near future? I for one would love to buy one. I have PK PP and am getting another soon.

Considering most of their website is non-functional, the text hasn't been updated in months upon months, the shopping cart doesn't work, and the fact that my email to them inquiring about ordering a pulse pistol went completely ignored... I'd have to say they can't get too miffed. I did everything but beg to throw money at them, and I got squat in response. Seems they didn't want to take my money.

I bought a finished one off of Ebay in the end, because I wasted weeks hoping for a response and, as a model-making novice, I didn't think I wanted to tackle doing my own with only a few weeks until Halloween.

If anyone's interested in a model kit for the pulse pistol, though, they are on order at this link.

http://scifimodels.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=90

There is also a British seller on Ebay that sells a finished pulse pistol on a regular basis. I would venture to say it's that same kit. The finished pistol was nicely done, has a solid, hefty feel, and I got it within a week of order. 'Twas nice, because I'm lazy when it comes to making my own Halloween props. I may try to cobble together a holster to go with my new black Doc Martens, PK insignia pin, and cheapo fake leather pants. I already had the black top. I figure that's a decent PK costume. And if anyone says otherwise, I'll bop them with my hefty pulse pistol.

And the costume that started this whole conversation...? It rocketh. Here endeth the lesson.

.

That's where I got my first PK PP and it is a fantastic repro, sits heavy in the hand and has a balance like my goverment 45 auto. but take my advice when painting put a GOOD primer coat on it (I know that is a given) before painting or else it will bubble like a cold beer (ok I'm thristy now) there is some flash and the bottom of the grip will need filler for a smoth finish. I used a Krylon Fusion satin black rattle can paint (Allot of sanding may be needed between coats) and misted it afterwards with testors argent silver rattle can, then again with a fine mist of the krylon. slapped 3 clear coats on it and it came out pretty good

Uniforms

Here's the deal - I've always been a fan of Halloween as well as Farscape. I'm thinking this year a Peacekeeper uniform (commando, officer, etc...) would be the ultimate costume. I'd be greatly interested in anyone that has made one of these uniforms that would be interested in being hired to make another for an agreed upon price. As it is currently, July, this leaves plenty of time to complete the project. Anyone interested, please contact me at alaskowski@aegisoft.com
