Question about Stark... (Spoilers)
Spoilers...
I am just wondering why Stark left the show for over a season. I was upset that he left the show towards the end of season three. When he finally returned at the end of season four, why couldn't we get an explaination about where he's been. What was Zhaan trying to tell him in "The Choice?" These things really bothered me.

Paul Goddard had prior commitments – so Stark was written out temporarily. According to the writers and producers, Stark was always meant to return.

One of the many reasons Farscape's early cancellation sucks is that we don't get to find out what happened to Stark. He (most likely) would've been a regular again in season 5.

That was something that really irritated me too. I wanted to see a lot more of Stark and didn't like the way his season long disappearance was never explained. I was really hoping to see more of him in season 5 (
 ) since I thought many of the mysteries about him were closely related to the mysteries of season four and the plot holes that are still dangling.

I waited for Stark all through season 4, anxiously, only to have him return without telling his secrets before the end of the season! DIE, SCI FI CHANNEL!!
(To make it even worse, I had his surprise return spoiled for me by Sci Fi Channel's commercials for "Hot to Katratzi." I normally avoid the promos, but I had the bad luck to channel-surf past an image of Stark leaning over Scorpius. *sighs* What luck I have.)

Yeah, Stark had to leave to film the last two Matrix films (he played Agent Brown I think).
As for explaining where he's been in Farscape, I think a deleted scene in Bad Timing (I'll have to find that scene sometime) says that he has been searching for Zhaan (as we know from The Choice) but her voice has gone. After that, I presume the Scarrens captured him in a rare moment of clarity as soon as they learnt they had Aeryn, or maybe he returned to them willingly?

Paul Goddard was to appear at the Sydney Opera House during the timeframe that season 4 was to be filmed. He wasn't appearing in any films at the time -- only on stage.
Agent Brown wasn't in Matrix 2 and 3

Stark is cool. I actually had the misinterpretation thay Stark was a villain. This is only because what I saw him doing to Scopius.

Because of the cancellation and my current financial situation I have not seen many episodes maybe 35 total. Most of them are in season 1. Stark is a good guy in season 1. Scorpius is torturing him and he-Stark is quite mad. So I thought maybe he just wanted revenge.
